Coweta Intermediate High School was a new construction project featuring Video Surveillance, Sound, Access Control, Intrusion, Fire Alarm, Intercom, Clock, & Structured Cabling
Phase 1 (main building) was completed by the deadline in order to allow classes to be held at beginning of the school year. Phase 2 (gymnasium) was completed ahead of our deadline.
What makes Coweta unique? The customer required that the doors between the high school and intermediate center unlock the doors during class changes to allow students to travel between buildings. The doors unlock when the bell rings, and lock back after the bell. Due to the limits of the time schedules in the access control system, York integrated the intercom event schedule to the access control to accomplish the customer’s requirement.
Schilt Management, the construction manager, presented achievement awards to York Electronic Systems, Inc. and Mark Garrett, the project lead, for a job well done.
