York Receives Excellence In Construction Award for JA

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national trade association representing more than 23,000 merit shop contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and related firms in 80 chapters across the United States.

ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

The Award of Excellence Program conducted locally and nationally has become the premier competition within the construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects across the nation.

York Electronic Systems was honored the fall of 2003 for ABC of Oklahoma Excellence in Construction for Electrical- Commercial under $1 million for the Junior Achievement Headquarters and Exchange City Project. This was the fourth award that York has received for Excellence in Construction.

Past awards include:

• 1994 ABC of Eastern Oklahoma Specialty Contractor – Sound and Communications for Country Lane Elementary School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
  
• 1994 ABC National First Place for Specialty Contractor – Sound and Communications for Country Lane Elementary School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
  
• 1999 ABC of Eastern Oklahoma Electrical –Commercial for United States Postal Service Distribution Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
