Jennifer JezekPresident and Owner
Jennifer Jezek is President and Owner of York Electronic Systems, Inc. (York); a family owned systems integration firm specializing in fire alarm, security, communications and audio visual systems. Jennifer is continuing the legacy of her parents, Steve and Judi York, who founded the company in 1984. At age 14, Jennifer began working at York doing filing and general administrative duties after school. After graduating from Memorial High School in Tulsa, she worked full time at York during the day while attending college at night. Jennifer has worked in nearly every position in the company including administration, marketing, accounting, purchasing, warehouse, assistant controller, Vice President of Operations, and most recently, President. In 1998, Jennifer graduated from Langston University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and left York to pursue a career in information technology. Jennifer worked as Business Operations Manager for the Oklahoma Division of Pomeroy IT Solutions (NASDAQ PMRY), where she performed operational assessments and implemented process and controls resulting in an 18% increase in profits in less than one year.
During Jennifer’s tenure, York has received recognition and awards including Systems Contractor News 2007 Top 50 Systems Integrator, Best of TCC Distinguished Alumni 2009, Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Award in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012; the Tulsa Metro Chamber 2009 Family Owned Business of the Year, Oklahoma SBA 2010 Jeffrey Bautland Family-Owned Business of the Year, and Jennifer was named Security System News 2010 top 20 under 40. Jennifer’s leadership capabilities were fostered through mentoring with her parents and community involvement. For over a decade, she has served in leadership roles in the philanthropic organization, Epsilon Sigma Alpha International (ESA), which responsibilities include executive officer positions, chairing fundraising events, educational seminars, and social activities. To continue her father’s lifelong commitment to educating youth and developing a future work force, Jennifer also volunteers for Junior Achievement and Partner’s In Education.
